Anne is a certified astrological professional, who has maintained an astrological practise since 1988. Anne offers consultations in both English and Finnish. She has three active websites, her first one www.astrologicallyspeaking.com has been online since August 2001. In August 2008 she launched a Finnish Astrology website www.astrotieto.com. In November 2008, Anne launched her astrology blog, which features political and financial astrology, analysis of charts of interest. Anne Massey, C.A.P., is the founding and past president of the Fraser Valley Astrological Guild. Massey is the International VP of ISAR for Canada (International Society for Astrological Research),a member of the Finnish Astrological Association, National Council for Geocosmic Research and the Canadian Association for Astrological Education.

Anne has designed the Guild website and continues to be involved with the group. She also designs websites for colleagues and distributes Cosmic Patterns Software.

Anne Massey has published published weekly, monthly and annual astrology columns since 1991, these have appeared in print in the Vancouver Courier, the Langley Times, the Peace Arch News, The British Columbia Institute of Technology Student Newspaper and the Finnish language newspaper in British Columbia.

Anne Massey teaches astrology classes and offers private, personalized tutoring for students of astrology. She also lectures, writes, and is a consulting astrologer. Since May 2005 she administers CAAE (Canadian Association for Astrological Education) certification Exams. Courses and classes offered prepare students for the examination, which leads to professional certification. The exams are be offered twice a year, typically May and November. My little story

My astrological journey started at age 8 when I was informed that I was a sign, namely a Scorpio, at a schoolyard. Nothing could have been more intriguing than the announcement of that sign in tones that implied both awe and fear. I simply had to know what had inspired those deep feelings expressed by a classmate. In Finland astrological articles were quite commonplace as I was growing up. My interest and study deepened in the late 70s while I was living in Australia. In 1987 I moved to Memphis Tennessee where I joined the Riverside Astrologers. I served as their newsletter editor until moving to Canada.

In 1990 I moved to Canada and continued to work as an astrologer. In 1991 I founded the Fraser Valley Astrological Guild (an astrological organization in British Columbia, Canada) with astrologer Brenda Schauer. I served as the founding president for two terms and as the treasurer for the third term. In 1997 I returned to the executive as treasurer. Since 1998 I have been the president of the Guild. In addition I was the newsletter editor for two terms until 2001. I have designed this website that you are visiting, and the one for the Fraser Valley Astrological Guild. I maintain both sites.

From 1991 to 1998 I wrote several astrological columns, as well as horoscopes, in the local papers (The Langley Times, Peace Arch News, The BCIT Student Newspaper, as well as the Finnish language newspaper in Vancouver, BC. I felt that getting serious astrological articles in the main stream publications was a significant accomplishment. My horoscope column, Star Tracks, was both a weekly and a monthly column. The other column, Astrologically Speaking, was a monthly column that was devoted to introducing astrology as a serious study to the general public. I resumed writing columns which appeared on this site in 2001.

Two Decades

Since 1988 I have consulted as a professional astrologer, lecturing to both astrologers and the general public. Currently my main focus has shifted toward astrological writing, creation and promotion of astrology on the web with the goal of helping astrology gain wider recognition as a serious study and profession. I take pride in being a professional astrologer, and am honoured to be a member of the fine local and international astrological organizations listed above.

My main research interest is planetary cycles, especially the ones of Venus and the nodal axis. Life is about cycles, there is a time for everything, astrology helps define and elucidate those cycles, and I personally cope with life better using this information. I won’t renew my mortgage without consulting my ephemeris (a book. which lists planetary positions), and avoid scheduling important events "blind-folded".

Consultations

Your uniqueness as an individual is imprinted in the picture taken of the heavens at the time of your birth. That picture is your natal chart or horoscope. Sun sign astrology can address life from a generalized perspective. Your birth chart, however, is very specific about your life, dreams, hopes, relationships, career and avocation. Anne views the horoscope as a manuscript for life. You have the leading role in your play.

Life is about choices, the chart reveals the options and together we can look at the current scene in detail. Making choices is easier when you understand your options better, and get to view how the scene could be played out.

Anne approaches readings from a practical, down-to-earth point of view - an exploration of her client’s options and a means of obtaining fresh insights.

Consultations are available on the telephone and via Skype. All sessions are taped.

The information needed is the date of birth and place of birth. The time of birth is valuable, however, a solar chart can be used when birth time is in question.

The Times we are in...

Our willingness to embrace change, the once constant in life, sets the tone for our experience.

2004-2010 - we can look to remarkable advancement and discoveries in medicine, technology and perhaps we can scientifically prove that there is more to life than meets the eye. Astrologically speaking , Uranus and Neptune, two generational planets are in each other’s signs.

2004-2012 - Venus, the planet of love, money and relationships, has two rare transits across the disk of the Sun. One in June 2004 and another in June 2012.

In the course of the next decade, we will be loudly questioning our values both on a personal and collective level. What happened to our priorities, values and our desire for security? The values we used to hold dear have shifted in the course of the last century. Collectively we are seeking answers, which reflect our inherent principles on what is just and fair.

Life is cyclical, there is a time for everything. The beauty of astrology is that the cycles are predictable, we can look at the interweaving cycles and time things. I often state that the credo of astrology ought to be “timing, timing, timing.”
