This Lunar listing observes the daylight savings times observed in Canada and the US. Standard time is observed from November 7, 2010 until Daylight Savings time begins again March 13, 2011 and ends November 6 in 2011.

With Moon in Aries it's all go, go, go; with Moon in Gemini we are all a bit more chatty, etc. Each one of us has a unique rhythm and by watching your own experience of the days and the Moon sign you can learn to live in an easier rhythm with nature and your nature. The listing on this page provides the Moon in each sign, the the Moon Void of course (VOC) times, and the New and Full Moons for each month follows the VOC listings for the year. In the listing the line that ends in V/C shows the time Moon became void of course. It stays that way until it enters the next sign.The short notation before the V/C is the final aspect the Moon makes, which is useful for astrologically inclined people. More about the void of course Moon

Every two and a half days Moon changes from one zodiacal sign to another. In her routine travels she forms aspects with other planets, but after the last aspect prior to changing signs she is considered void of course. This definition was popularized by astrologer Al H. Morrison around 1970. The definition Hellenistic astrologers used about 2000 years ago was different. The Moon was considered void if it made no further aspects for a day (within 13°). The older definition would mean that there are fewer void of course periods than modern listings (such as the one on this website) state,

Aspects are communication lines, while Moon is not making these connections with other planets she is dancing to her own tune, receiving no advise, no objections, merely seeking her own counsel. Things started while the Moon is void of course tend not to amount to much. The best use of this time is to think of it as time out. Goof off, work on routine chores, don't arrange important meetings etc. as these tend to get rescheduled anyway. Things we buy during these times which can last for up to two days or as little as minute or two tend to end up taking space, and they were simply purchased on a whim not to serve a purpose. I used to take my older vehicles through air care when the Moon was void, I figured that as the gist is — nothing will come of it— thus the clonkers would squeek by air care no problem— and they did.

I spent a fair bit of time job hunting in the mid-nineties, all the interview times that were offered or conducted during Moon Void of Course times came to nothing. The interviews went great, wonderful conversations and good learning for the next one. I have an article on the site about the Moon and the Void of Course Moon.

"I'd rather be sailing, golfing, partying, (fill in your favourite activity here), etc." — defines the Moond for void-of-course Moon periods. It is difficult to get yourself into a new gear. The Moon is behind these stellar non-events, she is drifting through the balance of the sign, and makes no connections with other planets. She is a free agent, who is not interested in starting new things. Before we can start anything new we need to clear the decks and clear the cobwebs in our minds. That is what these time periods are great for. When these last a full day in the middle of the week, it can get tricky at work. But basically, if you can't go sailing or play hooky, stick to routine chores.

However, a Moon VOC period is not an excuse to put life on hold. We need this time to process what has been, it could be likened to dreamstates while we are wide awake. Simply put the outcome of things launched with Moon void of course is different than the one we planned using logic alone.

Note all times use the 24 hr clock and are in the Pacific Times - PST and PDT. The VOC indicates that Moon went void of course. the information preceeding it simply gives you the last aspect, which you may wish to ignore unless you are a student of astrology. For Mountain time add 1 hr, for Central time 2 hr and Eastern time 3 hr, etc. to the times given. PST is 8 hrs behind GMT.
