I subscribe to www.beliefnet.com and every day I receive an inspirational story and a quote. I love the one I am using for this week. The fact that it makes sense astrologically speaking is a bonus. The Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn are in Virgo, the sign that strives for perfection through continuous practice and repetition. We tend to talk about Virgos as hypocritical rather than discerning and helpful. Virgo energy loves to help others and self to improve continuously, they wouldn't bother with you, unless they thought you could be improved, perfected and made to be all you can be.
While we have this energy with us, we should take advantage to perfect at least one thing in our lives or surroundings. Virgo isn't afraid of hard work; maybe we could take a page from the Virgo book of life, and work it.
Mars moved into Libra yesterday, and the Sun follows on August 22, so now we all need to play nice. Instead of arguing, we need to mediate, make compromises and above all, consider others before ourselves. During the next six weeks, we begin to realize what we need to do to bring our lives into balance, in order to feel that we live in harmony rather than feel out of rhythm.

Aries March 20 -April 19
You are working hard, a theme that continues for another 1.5 years. Practice makes perfect, and repetition is the key. While you may get bored at times, you are always able to tackle life with a new approach—and it doesn't take long for you to change gears. It is a good week, to finish off some of your projects and obligations. The social month is just around the corner, and you want to have some free time to enjoy that. It is easier for you to sell your skills and accomplishments now. You can be extra tactful, yet able to get your view across with clarity and precision.
Taurus April 19-May 20
Your innovative and/or creative energy needs to be applied to something concrete and tangible—you want something to show for your efforts. You might be working on improving your house, with future value in mind or creating a masterpiece for the ages; it's relative but needs to be realistic, right. During the week, energy shifts to include your daily routines, and you need to feel that things are balanced and in harmony. Working smart rather than working hard becomes more important. You also want more cooperation, and over the next few months, this becomes even more important—as does your need to be appreciated and valued for what you do.
Gemini May 20-June 20
The longer term influences through 2010 for Gemini feature family, home and getting to know yourself at a deeper level. While others can evoke a reaction, good or bad, we continue to have things we don't understand within us. This week is great for clearing out any clutter in your life and surroundings—arrange a garage sale or post it on ‘craigslist'. As the week progresses, romantic matters come to heightened focus. This theme continues clear through early November—sweet. You can replace the word romance with anything that makes your heart sing, painting, writing, gardening, spending time with kids, etc.
Cancer June 20-July 22
The long-range theme, which is accentuated this week, is primarily about the changes in your daily activities. Circumstances may be limiting what you normally do; you may be choosing to go back to school, sign up for vocational courses or perhaps opting to do volunteer work. As the week progresses, and through early November, family and home matters become increasingly more important. Think beautification, learning to cooperate even better. Maybe it is time to buy your ideal nest or begin a family.
Leo July 22-Aug. 22
Over the next two years, finances and money matters are the big theme; these are emphasized this week—ultimately this is about readjusting your priorities. If you need to arrange refinancing, get insurance etc. the next two weeks are rather good for negotiating. As the week progresses, you find yourself busier than usual. In addition to having accumulated a long ‘to-do' you also have many invitations from friends and neighbours, and extra demands from others; a lesson in patience. Remember we catch more bees with honey than with vinegar.
Virgo Aug. 22-Sept. 22
At the moment there are many planets in your sign, the planet of responsibility ensures you are keeping things soundly based in reality, but there is more here than meets the eye—Virgo's are making a move. Most of us desire change at present; new adventure or even just a new attitude. I think of Virgo as the self-help books and the publications like the buyer's guide—very discerning and looking for the BEST. Over the next two+ months money matters are going to be important; the idea is to make it but the Universe has a quirky sense of humour thus the unexpected bills tend to arrive while you are working hard to earn more.
Libra Sept. 22-Oct. 23
Now it is reality! The butterflies and excitement—the energy intensifies throughout September for Libra. 30 years ago, the energy was similar, however, you were either younger or not here yet. Making reality out of dreams takes a lot of internal strength and fortitude. As the week progresses and actually through the end of October, it is your time to make positive choices for yourself; when you do, things seem to fall into place beautifully. It is a turning point month; we choose the direction through our actions. However, you also have your personal horoscope with all the planets, etc. which has a stronger influence.
Scorpio Oct. 23 – Nov. 20
In the longer range, you are looking at making your plans and aspirations realistic. If there is little money in it, what is going to drive you to do it regardless? There are surprising news galore throughout August and September. Some of these you did anticipate, however, by nature these are still surprises. Your strength this year is in communicating, building a network of support; perhaps joining a local group might be the ticket now. There are many behind the scenes turns of event now; many you can feel are about to materialize. Do plan to throw your ‘hat in the ring' in order to win you do have to play the game.
Sagittarius Nov. 21-Dec. 21
Go for it!! This is a major year for Sagittarius; avoid placing limitations on what you will or won't do. Pay attention to the messages you read or hear, provided they are encouraging you to go for it. In order to find your bliss, you do need to take some risks. Venturing into the unknown, trying your luck overseas or with a medium you are not accustomed to is something you do have the option to try. The only thing that holds us back in this life, is when we begin to doubt our abilities—have faith, eh.
Capricorn Dec. 21-Jan. 19
Dreams, travel, and what the future has in store for you is exciting. Living in the now would be practical but what might be is what holds your attention. Allow those dreams and aspirations to filter in. It only takes on brilliant idea to begin on a brand new track. As the week and month marches on you are likely to become inspired to make it a reality. Your prime action months are at the equinoxes and solstices; now is the time to plan what your goals ought to be. Only you can choose your ideal goals, but you knew that, right. None can plan the way you do.
Aquarius Jan. 20 - Feb. 18
The things we share with others are many—our role in a partnership, loans with the bank and shared debt. These are the things that need to be addressed in the longer term. The trick always is that we don't have identical values with those who share in our lives and assets. The key is compromise, and where you are willing to do so. Throughout the next 2+ months you will be assessing what new things you want to bring in and where you choose to ‘lock horns' for your way or the ‘highway'. I won't take any guesses, you are at your most unpredictable these days; dreamy one day and breaking all the rules the next.
Pisces Feb. 19 - March 20
In short, two issues are prominent for you now, partnerships and shared assets/responsibilities. That sounds like a mortgage/loan or a purchase of a major item—easy to say, harder to accomplish to the satisfaction of both partners. Over the next few months, you need to be supportive and extra accommodating, you have nothing to lose. We learn the most through the relationships we have; remember that any annoying trait in your partner, tends to reflect a facet of yourself you haven't owned yet. Not based on the word but its synonyms.
